Description

The Central Air Equipment Duplex Instrument Air Package comprises two (2) state-of-the-art rotary screw BOGE CL Series units, equipped with inline direct drive mechanisms (no gears) and flexible couplings for optimal efficiency. The units feature air-cooled oil coolers and after-coolers, ensuring stable performance in varying conditions. Powered by WEG TEFC IEEE efficiency motors, these compressors deliver reliable and consistent results.

To complement the compressors, the system includes Trident models, carefully sized to match the compressor specifications. A Trident modular twin-tower PD series dryer with a mixed bed of Activated Alumina and Mol Sieve is included, pre-set for a -40o C Pressure Dewpoint. This dryer efficiently achieves ISO8573.1 Class 1.2.1 air quality standards. The panel display allows selectable operating loads ranging from 40% to 100%, offering flexibility and control.

The filtration system consists of two (2) pre-filters in a dual-stage, single train configuration. The first stage, sized to match the compressor, is a 1-micron filter with borosilicate microfiber glass media, effectively capturing 0.5 ppm oil aerosol. The second stage, also matched to the compressor, is a 0.01-micron filter, ensuring minimal oil aerosol presence at 0.01 ppm. A single-stage after-filter with a 1-micron reverse-flow dust filter and manual drain guarantees the integrity of the desiccant beds.

The entire system is packaged with a wet air receiver featuring a 200 psig MAWP, CRN, and ASME Section VIII U Stamp. The package includes accessories such as a 2.5” liquid-filled pressure gauge with an isolation valve, PSV, and a 120V JORC zero-air-loss auto drain valve with bypass for service.

For a leak-free performance, the piping and valves are constructed with stainless steel tubing for cold temperatures, tight tubing, and a leak-free design. All valves are full-port 2-piece threaded ball valves with stainless steel bodies, plated balls, and Teflon seals. The ¼” drain tubing from compressors, each pre-filter, and wet air receiver converges into a ½” common discharge at the tank feet.

The system is accompanied by CAE standard documentation, including P&ID, GA, U1A form for registry, compressor and dryer manuals, and wiring diagrams. Additionally, the system undergoes a comprehensive shop run test to ensure functionality and reliability.

Several optional features are available, including Class 1 Zone 2 certification and registry, Class 1 Zone 1 certification and registry, absence of yellow metals, duplex dryers, duplex filters, simplex compressors, and a condensate treatment station for conformance to the Alberta EE&P Act 2000, offering a tailored solution to meet specific operational requirements.
